My name is Ryan Steeghs, I am a student passionate about public service and meaningful connections, currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Business Economics and Public Policy at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I previously earned my Associate's Degree from Palm Beach State College in Boca Raton, Florida.
During my tenure as Student Trustee at Palm Beach State College, I served as the official student voice on the College's Board of Trustees, representing over 40,000 students across five campuses. I provided input on key policies, budget decisions, and campus initiatives while advocating for student needs and helping shape strategies that improved the overall student experience.
In recognition of my leadership, I was selected as one of just eight student trustees nationwide to join the Student Trustee Advisory Committee with the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT). In that national capacity, I represented over 11 million community college students across the U.S. and addressed members of Congress at the ACCT National Legislative Summit, advocating for issues including Pell Grant reform, workforce education, and data transparency in higher education.
